Modern Slavery Statement

Greetings from our team

Heart and Minds maintains a strict policy against modern slavery and is committed to conducting all commercial interactions and connections with ethical standards and integrity. Our aim is to prevent modern slavery from occurring within our own organisation and throughout our supplier chains. We will also guarantee that our strategy and position are unambiguous with our partner organisations.
Structure of the organisation

Our policy for the prevention of slavery and human trafficking

We are dedicated to guaranteeing the absence of contemporary enslavement or human trafficking throughout our supply chains or any aspect of our operations. The Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Policy demonstrates our dedication to conducting business with ethical standards and integrity. We are committed to establishing and enforcing robust systems and controls to prevent any instances of slavery and human trafficking within Heart and minds and our supply chains.

We shall consider any violation of our Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Policy with utmost severity. As an illustration, any employee who violates the policy will be subject to disciplinary measures, perhaps leading to termination for either misconduct or gross misconduct.

We conduct regular reviews and updates of our policies, and we have established procedures to monitor and maintain them at regular intervals. We have developed a revised Ethical Code of Practice that encompasses a wider range of areas compared to our previous Supplier Code of Practice. This policy applies to any external organisation or individual that has a formal contract with Heart And Minds and mandates them to adhere to the same criteria while managing their own supply chain.

Our amended Ethical Code of Practice must be signed by all new suppliers, contractors, and partners. This code is included as a standard reference in our contracts. Additionally, the Sustainability assurance risk assessment is now a mandatory component of our onboarding process. Regular reminders are sent to colleagues in important areas to ensure they are aware of the problems related to Modern Slavery. This helps them to identify any concerns that may arise within our supplier base. Additional pertinent training is now being prepared for dissemination throughout the broader organisation. We will consistently evaluate the efficacy of all measures to ensure they align with our goals and ascertain whether more measures are necessary.

We acknowledge the significance of maintaining a continuous state of alertness in order to detect and resolve any problems related to slavery and human trafficking within the Heart And Minds organisation and across our supplier networks. We are dedicated to further improving our ability to identify, prevent, and minimise any existing or potential hazards in these specific domains. This encompasses contact across many channels with internal workers, as well as the capability to submit problems through our Serious problems & Whistleblowing procedure.
